The Makini behind Makini’s

A bit about me.

I’m Makini, Seattle-based vegan chef, cookbook writer and Capitol Hill restauranteur who is fully in love with food. Daughter of vegan parents, I grew up with creative, flavorful plant-based meals – but they weren’t easy to make. Baba created all his own signature seasonings and recipes. (He was decades ahead of his time!)

Today, I’m so proud to honor my father’s legacy by making vegan meals a more everyday option. I am enthusiastically in your corner, here to help you eat healthier and planet-friendlier. As a company, Team Makini reflects a countercultural soul full of kindness and empathy, as we strive to bring an others-first mindset to a me-first world.
